Our Story
GeoMarine Biotechnologies (P) Ltd stands as India's first Marine Biotechnology company — a distinction earned through decades of relentless research, innovation, and commitment to the field of biotechnology.
Our origins trace back to our sister company, Alpha & Omega Consultants, which developed India's first indigenous Probiotics for Aquaculture — a landmark achievement that was successfully commercialized by a leading Chennai-based company and sparked the founding of GeoMarine Biotechnologies.
Today, we operate across research, product development, training, consultancy, and technology transfer — with collaborations spanning leading colleges, universities, and government bodies across India.
We have signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with leading colleges and universities for collaborative ventures, and are actively expanding into food biotechnology and nutraceuticals.

Dr. Charles is a scientist, entrepreneur, and academic leader who has dedicated his career to advancing marine and industrial biotechnology in India and on the global stage.
He is recognised internationally as a Star Gold Solver with IdeaConnection, having won multiple challenges including two Grand Prizes in IdeaJams. In 2011, he was selected as one of only seven finalists worldwide in the Global Energy Storage Challenge, sponsored by the US Naval Research and conducted by Omnicompete at London Business School.
